RSE Policy

At St Andrew’s CE Primary School, our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum helps children develop the knowledge, understanding and values they need to build healthy relationships, stay safe and grow in confidence. Our approach is rooted in our Christian vision and values and promotes respect, kindness and care for others.

From September 2026, schools are required to follow updated statutory guidance for Relationships and Sex Education, including stronger teaching around online safety, emotional wellbeing and safeguarding.

At St Andrew’s, Relationships and Health Education is delivered through the HeartSmart programme, alongside learning in Science, RE and Computing. Teaching is age-appropriate, inclusive and designed to help children understand friendships, family relationships, personal safety, wellbeing and growing up.
